Well done sir, a gorgeous looking bike. :clap Just curious, but did you buy the one advertised on e-bay? It was there about 2 days ago (with 8 days remaining IIRC) then it disappeared.

So here is our new steed, had a couple of hours out this afternoon. Both loved it but a new seat is going to be a must. Thought I'd add another pic with his stablemate.

To be honest Taff i dont understand much about ebay.
But yes it was the one on there,i had veiwed it and made him an offer,he was happy with the offer, but then spoke to his friend who was selling it on ebay for him,he then said he would not be able to sell it to me as it would spoil his friends ebay credibility?
He then rang me the next morning and said it was ok to buy??
so i did.

Steve

P.S The guy i bought it from was seriously ill which was his reason for giving up riding.

Fantasic 'bike Steve, and well worth waiting for.......:)

I take it that your next trip down to Italy, will be on that.....:thumb

Well i've had it for a week now, done about 400 miles and all pleasure miles.
I spent the first couple of days giving it a good clean,i like to do this with any new bike,i feel it's a very good way to get to know the bike and identify any little things that may need doing, anyway it cleaned up very well and while it's not mint, unlike my 1100s,i would describe it as exellent condition.for a 21000 mile bike.
Boy am i glad i choose the 1150 over the 1200, i had extended test rides on several 1200,s. 06gs 08gs 08gsa and while they were all good bikes there is,for me,something very different about the 1150gsa.
It feels so much more rewarding to ride,i cannot believe just how slowly you can ride this bike which despite it,s bulk makes it much easier than my 1100s to ride in town, also it,s much more balanced at junction's especially 2up.
It feels very planted at any speed and doesn't dive into corner's or bends,it just seems to role in and out of them with great ease and ability.
I must admit i was struggling a bit with the height when coming to a standstill, but i recieved my low seat yesterday which i purchased from a

fellow tosser on this site.
It has made a big difference without any compromise to the ride or handling.
It is fitted with nearly new tourances which are exellent in the wet.
Do i like it?
I've woke a sweating three times this week after dreaming i'd bought a 1200:augie
I love it.
Just can't wait to get some big trips in this year.

Still smileing,

Steve
