All in all i love my 1150GSA 2004. Since buying it in January I have covered 10k and other than the coils being replaced she has run faultlessly. The bike has now done 30k.

I have never been happy with the stock suspension though, and particularly the very notchy feeling i get transferred through the bike on uneven road surfaces. Its almost as if something is loose like a worn suspension bushing or something. I have checked for play front and rear and everything appears fine.

Before I spend the best part of £700 on a set of wilbers I want to make sure there is nothing else I could check. Has anyone else experienced this type of feedback through their stock suspension units?

Best to check them at home. Shake the bush until all the leaves have fell off.

Booked in to Roy Gardeners next friday to give everything the once over and check the paralever bearings while im there.

Spent a bit of time surfing and came across this info on the Hyperpro site and it pretty much describes what I am experiencing...looks like a new set of shocks then :blast

"HYPERPRO springs don't chatter. It's that simple. A stock spring has a specific frequency. If the spring encounters this frequency while on the road it will start to resonate. You feel this as a dangerous and uncomfortable chatter. Since HYPERPRO springs are rising rate, there is no single frequency that the spring will respond to and they can't chatter. Your bike will show noticeably improved stability"
