I've seen a few threads about this but none that give "the answer" to my problem. Used the kill switch at the weekend (stopped on a hill to park etc, easier than taking a hand off the bars at that point). Went to start it an hour later and the RID was blank (except clock working) and nothing from the starter, didn't turn over etc.
It was in neutral, side stand was up, kill switch in right position.
(And then I couldn't even find the right screws to take the cover off the switch assembly, what am I missing there?!)

Any clues as to what is wrong? The RAC brought the bike home for me (bending engine bars in the process) so at least it's in the garage to play with. All I can think of is that the kill switch has broken leaving it in the killed position?

cheers

There is one behind the mirror stem one underneath and one that screws into the master cylinder that's all from memory I think. My kill switch burned out for reasons better known to its self I just soldered the wire tougher till I could get a replacement. A very kind member :hug :hug sent me the remains of the switch gear so i was able to replace it

Sidestand cut-out switch? Happened to me a couple of times - very inconvenient
