I get a little ache in my wrist if i spend a long time on the motorway at a constant speed. I've had this on other bikes as well though.

As for the pain in the palm, never had it?
Could you be gripping a bit tighter than normal? so to speak!!!

I don't suppose 'change hands at 99' is suitable advice here...

Sorry, can't help otherwise, not a problem I've encountered.

The BM bars are angled in, in an odd way... fit some Renthals :thumb2

Much comfier IMHO.

its a throttle grip or wrist rest, little bit of plastic that wraps round the throttle to make it look like a 'p' so your wrist rests on the flat/straight bit. i've got one and i like it, some do not though, but for £7 its worth a go

I get a similar problem, always find myself making small adjustments to relieve hand strain, thought it might be my hand slipping in gloves, but cramp buster sounds like its worth a try.

Wheres a good place to buy one online for £7?

Stiff cables?

Could it be that the cables are gummed up and making you use more pressure on the grip. I can rotate the throttle on my 1150 with just 2 fingers.
Cables may need to be replaced or lubed.

Cramp

Try adjusting the angle of the handle bars a bit does help.

if you are getting pain in your palm it must be on a constant throttle as in motorway/a road all you need to do is not grip so hard as it will drive in a straight line all on its own it works for me:beer:

cheers for the ideas

those Renthals do look nice

:blast havent bought all the bling i wanted now i got to get those

Renthals look good..which one would best suit the 1150GS?Possible to get a part number?

Sorry I don't know the part number, I bought them off a fellow tosser.

They are Renthal Fat Bars, they do several different types of fat bar with varying curves and length etc. So what suits one person wont suit everyone.
The mounts were made by Ricardo Kuhn in the States... very hard to get hold of now though! Though others do the mounts/clamps.

So, for those of you using aftermarket bars, so you suffer from the vibration we were all promised if you removed the OE bars which have the clever anti vibration bits just before the grips?

Nippy Normans sell 'em. Works well for me.
