1150 not been run a while, now won’t

Right been tied up at work for last 2 weeks so go to start bike ,starts first time and the revs pick up when I give it some throttle ,,,,,,bingo ,,,,take bike onto the road put it in gear won't pull away nothing.starts again revs ok put it in gear won't pull away and splutters and stalls . Is this what will happen if it's the hall sensor or is there any other sensor which may be the problem cheers steve

Doesn't fit the classic 'hall sensor' symptoms but it doesn't rule it out either sadly. If it is happening only under load and revving freely otherwise you may need to start from scratch and rule out fuel/ignition issues first. Or there maybe someone in your area that can lend you one to help rule it out?

...?? If it starts ,ticks over and revs freely ,,, battery should be ok,,,, fuel should as well?? I thought maybe the fumes of the new fuel might have made the difference from not revving freely but maybe that was wishful thinking

I don't see how a a fuel cleaner will help your problem; the bike starts idles and revs, which suggests there is nothing wrong with your fuel. But your problems sound familiar...

Back in 2018 the starter motor on my 03 twin spark shorted out. After rebuilding the starter using the guide on here (RIP MikeP), it wouldn't start. Ran the usual checks with the aid of this forum and got it started, but like yours wouldn't pull. Started OK, idled OK and would rev a little but no power and then just died. This cycle was 100% repeatable.
Steptoe suggested it was the HES as he had seen those symptoms before and got some flak along the lines of "how can it be the HES if it starts and runs?". Working on the theory that Steptoe knows his stuff (and everything else had already failed to cure it), I fitted a new HES and the problem was gone. Maybe the surge when the starter shorted was the last straw for the HES and something broke down internally, but not to complete failure, who knows? But fitting a new HES fixed the problem and its not recurred yet (kiss of death!) So yes, it could be your HES.

can't you remove the halls sensor and fit a bolt into the hole..? (a spark plug might even fit into the hole)

Sorted!!!!!! Wasn’t the hall sensor they found the fuel lines under the tank had perished, so new pipes and filter , running lovely also balanced carbs , happy days Thanks for all comments
