1150 screen/beak-can it fit on an 1100?

Hi chaps - sorry if this has been done to death before, but....

Has anyone fitted the 1150 beak/headlights/screen onto an 1100GS, keeping the 1100 instruments?

The guys at Motorworks said it's possible, and that there was a thread on the forum. Couldn't find it though!

I wanted to fit the Touratech twin headlamps, but they don't dip left. Don't like thier projector lamps which do dip left (and cost nearly £200)

I'm after twin lamps to cover one blowing. I comute into London every day and don't like having a single headlight. (got used to 2 on my previous Speed Triple).

I have been looking at this too. Although it has been done , after looking at it more closely I don't think it can be done easily. It doesn't look like a simple take off - bolt on swap. Also the money you would spend may put you off too. If you want to be seen get yourself some auxilliary lamps. I just finished fitting mine , total cost about 50 quid and you will be seen -..... if they are looking that is and not talking on the phone, changing Cds, doing their makeup or picking their noses.

By all accounts the Touratech twin headlamp set-up for the GS11 looks good but, as far as performance goes they are complete pants... better off buying a couple of candles.

saw a bloke this morning, actually couldn't miss him, who had a pair of 7" car headlamps on the front of his XR650, in place of the original headlamp.

If the Touratech lights are so cr*ppy, maybe that's the way to go!

I've looked at the 1150 brackets for screen and beak, which is completely different to the 1100.

I found a thread in the for sale bit called 'nose job' where someone has fitted an 1150 beak only to an 1100, keeping the 1100 screen and that attractive Transit van rectangular headlamp.
