hi can anybody confirm if the hall sensors geno is ordering would be any good for my 05 1150 i am in need of a set got caught out in the peak district thursday in some torrential rain/hail and got a burning smell, managed to get home but she wasnt happy anyway the smell is from the front cover vents so i guess its time to change the sensors and belt while i am in there

What's your mileage since the alternator drive belt was changed?

It's highly unlikely that you will smell your Hall sensors failing so I reckon you should let it dry out a bit, get your RAC/AA card in your wallet, and take it out for a ride and see what happens: You'll never definitely know what your problem is until it is repeatable.

Good Luck. :thumb2

Yup, wot he said :thumb2

Sounds more likely that the Alt belt got as bit slippery and spun itself up on the pulleys.....Whip the cover off and have a look first before you go too far in :comfort
