1150 To ADV Seat swap .

Downloaded all info and part numbers , thanks to how ever posted the link

I want to retain my ADV luggage , the pannier frames dont seem to be attatched to any of the replaced items , but does the top box plate fit Or will i need different luggage if i want to go ahead with the conversion

I would have thought that the only difference in mounting the ADV Luggage was the Pillion footpegs and support brackets(Just swap `em over). As regards the top box mount I would suspect that this will need modding as the back end or seat base/Carrier is different......


Edit: You numpty ....... Just re-read your post and you have titled it the wrong way round(yours is an ADV yes?). ........... Funnily enough though my comments still stand....

Hello mate , i don't have any rear pegs on , the rear carrier doesn't seem to be anywhere near the luggage frames so iv'e ordered the parts and will only use what i need or don't have ( nuts n' bolts etc ) there on a return basis . Want an adjustable seat and a mate is going to make a small locking box / safe to bolt where the pillion seat used to be , so it sits at the same height as the ADV luggage , making a platform / rack styleeeeeeeey thing . Managed to get a GS carrier with tiny mark on it for £25 unopened and all the other parts were under £100 but shouldn't need all of them . Suppose i'll have to do 7 days on the search tool for which comfy single seat

You can fit the box with a bit of moding james,but it sticks right out at the back and looks pretty poor got a few ideas about fixing it onto a plate where the back seat was.I'll post some photos later.

Going to take my bike to the mil to put it next to a 1150 GS , i'll check out mounting points for the ADV panniers an di'll sit the top box on the rear seat rack area
P.S might look strange on yours due to differeent style /angle of panniers
