Any thoughts on tank bags for the 1150 adv? Would a tank bag for a 1200 fit an 1150? There seems to be alot more 1200 bags on ebay.
Cheers, Aidan.

Your best option is a baglux tank cover and bag, superb.
Or easy option a magneticbag.1200 bag wont fit.

+1 for Baglux.

The tank cover is expensive - as it is so big - but thereafter all Baglux bags will fit.

I find with most bags that the elastic stretches over time and then the bag flops over to the left like a dromedary's hump. I've been a fan of Baglux for many a year now.

However, if you are doing serious off roading, a tank bag can restrict your handlebar movements. Also a big bag will set off the horn each time you turn sharp left - not so good of you have a 120dB Nautilus (DAMHIK :augie )

1150 Adventure Bag

I have the Oxford Magnetic Bag on mine, superb quality bag, I bought it having found the Givi Tank Lock Bag wont fit.

+1 for Baglux. Expensive and a bit of a fiddle to fit the tank bra, but superbly made and works brilliantly.

Have had Baglux & bag on an 1150 which was great. Now run a GSA with a Touratech bag only which is very convenient for on/off and cleaning the tank & a lot cheaper than the Baglux combi.

Given all that I would happily go back to a Baglux & always keep an eye out for a decent used black/yellow one at the right price:rolleyes:

Thanks for the response guys. Baglux seems to be the way to go. I,ll keep an eye out for one on here and ebay or maybe bit the bullet and buy one new.

Never tried ...

... a Baglux, but used the OEM version for many years (on both 1100 & 1150) without any issue before swapping to the Bags-Connection version that snaps on to a mounting ring. main reason for swapping was to reduce capacity as I found I was putting too much in the OEM rather than panniers. Bags-Connection comes in various sizes from very small to more-useful but all are smaller than OEM and Baglux, but it all depends where you want the weight.

I have heard of people knackering tank paint with Baglux harnesses, but I've never owned one so...

Never had a problem that way Matt - took the harness off a couple of times each year, gave the tank and good was then waxed it dry.

Good to know :thumb2
As I say it was only hearsay - probably read on here :D

I,m not too worried about the capacity. It,s more for storing a map and holding stuff that needs accessed without getting of the bike.

Dave, I can probably see your house from the end of my street. Nice area.
