Just been out on mine today, after not riding it for 3 months

What a great bike they are, so composed, well balanced and easy to ride

Enough power for the real world riding

I felt immediately at home back on the old faithful again

Reckon they could become iconic in a GS kinda way

Over here good condition 1150GSA's are already outpricing the early 1200's. And that's 'selling' price not 'advertised' price!

Good thing too. IMO the 1150 is the better engineered product (said without wanting to start THAT old fight again!) and will therefor retain its secondhand value better.

:hide

They rode the 1150 then the 1200 :blast

So which one's going to increase? The airheads probably :mmmm

That is already the case and has been for some time.. most G/S bikes advertised on here are being sold for £3000+ you can pick up a good early (94/95) 1100 for less than that without much difficulty.

Just took mine for a blast today after a month of not using it.

Weather so crap I forgot it was now dry and sunny :D

A blast up the old A40 to North oxford Garage to get some bits for a service.

It was a lovely ride and attracted a fair few admirers amongst all the dozens of 1200's for sale.

Not one 1150 ADV for sale. ;)

They had a scabby looking blue and white 1150 on 03 I think with a £5450 asking price

A couple of weeks ago a mint 2002 1150GSA came into the showroom at my local dealer in Geneva. 7500 km with all the kit. It was gone within an hour of it being washed in the forecourt. One of their underlings put it on the web by mistake (not realising it had been sold) and they were getting calls from as far away as Serbia and offers, unseen, over the phone. It went for 13500 CHF - about 6500-7000 GBP. Prices are certainly not rocketing downwards.

Invest in motorcycles I say - only need to convince the wife.... :thumb2
