1150gs alternator upgrade.

The 1100/1150 alternator is adjustable for belt tension ? It’s not fixed in place like the 1200. I always fit the 611 belt to 1150 bikes.

Yes its adjustable: I've got an R1100RT. The alty I bought was listed as a 1200RT, which I think is non adjustable, its now fitted and working but only time will tell if the belt stays tight! I think it will, it did take a fair bit of effort to wind it over the bottom pulley, just wasn't difficult, didn't even take the plugs out again.
