I've got an Adventure tank to fit to my 1150GS, and I want to fit crashbars at the same time time. I'd appreciate feedback on fit and quality etc. of the various options; I'm keen on the Hepco and Becker bars in black as they're ugly but practical (and not too expensive) - any advice?

Socrates.

PS. My bike is a workhorse, not a 'pretty boy'.

Yes they fit its quite tight but its not an issue, I have 2 bits of self adhesive rubber where it is close but they are not really necessary

Head guards !

have you checked out head guards ?.
There are several different types ,
1 There,s steptoes one,s , Still in production
2 There,s the American and expensive Staunton , which are
undoubtly the coolist and most functional ,i,ve seen.
These save a lot of grief and are "at least as efffective
I have fitted a hepco and becker set ,, and they are difficult
to say the least.
