Is it worth spending out on a Remus exhaust to replace original?
Currently my set up is y piece, no cat & original can.
Any help or views please!:)

I've got the Cat and a stubby, quieter than the Remus on the bike (guess coz it's so low?) but a nice sound and I can have two big panniers and an uncooked number plate!:thumb2

Had a y-piece and remus revolution on mine almost from new. Torque 'feels' better, easily lifting the front if you want to. I only put the baffle in for mots and bike training, I never found the noise a problem even when touring. The bike may run a little lean, but this can be cheaply overcome.

Almost from new, all thats happened is it's got run in and of course the engines loosend up and is performing better. It's the old story more noise the faster it goes!, you've got the best set up now so don't change it.

Erm , no your wrong. I had it dyno'd at about 10k to check fuelling. It was runs a little weak compared to the standard can (both were tried) but had a nice torque boost in the mid range. On the road it feels much stronger, even with earplugs :rolleyes:

remus

I think of it as a road safety device:augie people hear me coming and get out of the way.
Seriously, you either like a quiet bike or you like one that makes a little noise. I find no massive difference in performance but it makes me happy. :aidan

In fact I have just changed from a remus to an akrapovic and the remus is for sale if you're interested:thumb

What happens at MOT tests?

I want to take my bike to Germany this year and I have seen some videos on U tube of the stasi police rounding up bikes and scrutinising silencers for baffles and EC conformity stamps...what happens when they see a stubby?

:confused::confused:
