My rear shock wasn't worth refurbing (seized damping adjuster, worn preload adjuster hose etc). I bit the bullet and bought a new hyperpro built to my required loading - the difference is amazing.

I agree with the three clowns above: Just buy something better. That OEM shock will be scratched to buggery around the moving parts and is not really worth the money. Add the service costs to an aftermarket item and you'll forget aboiut the expense after a day or so.

Surprised I didn't see you at the Borders Bash: I would have taken the spares you were after. :nenau

hello mate - hugely appreciate your comments there! :thumb
I was away that weekend sadly and have also just got back from jollies too,
hope you had a great time at it... did the weather hold?
canty remember that weekend but its been 20+ up here most of late May / June

Weather was fine except for the monsoon during the ride homw with Rushy across the moors.

Anyway, just bite the bullet and replace the shock. The aftermarket items are a world away from the OEM equipment (mines a HyperPro). Keep your old one incase you sell the bike. I have a replacement cap for your preload adjuster to put the bike back to standard.
