Hi All, a mate of mine has recently bought an 03 1150 GSA and he's not enjoying GS ownership so far. Despite having a new battery fitted a couple of weeks ago the bike keeps flattening the battery in an instant, even with the alternator working fine. He's been left stranded 4 times now in as many weeks, luckily he's a big bugger and can bump start the thing.
Another problem is the bike not pulling smoothly through the gears with occasional misfires and "rough patches".
Top this off with the brakes failing intermittently, a leaking fuel line and a dodgy gear indicator he's not having much fun.
On the other hand, my 95 1100 GS is fecking great,never misses a beat and looks great even though I never wash it.
The 1100 will be my last GS unless someone sorts them out.
If anyone has any advice for Big Al and his GSA I know he'd appreciate it, he's talking about KTM's and Varadero's.
