I'm looking at a return to GSer life but need to sling a leg over an actual 1150GSA so I can be sure I'm not too old, too weak, too fat, etc to ride one.

I'm based just south of Glasgow, I have insurance to ride other bikes (I have a 1914 Alldays flat tank that I occasionally try to start) and I guarantee to wipe all drool off the tank afterwards.

Can anyone help my return to madness? PM me or text me 07946 605067

Don't want to offend, but if you are worried about being able to handle a GSA (tall, hugely heavy with a full tank of gas, non lowerable seat) why not look at a bike with less weight, or at least a lower (and lowerable) seat like the standard GS.

Maybe because someone has a dream ??

1. I was using facetious humour to cover my nervousness
2. I’ve had several 1200GSAs and handled them fine even fully loaded
3. You make a fair point - I’ll know in about 30 seconds of riding if I should be looking for a GS instead.

If you don’t try, you’ll never find out. If you don’t ask, you’ll never get

if you pop down to london you can buy my 1150 and try it on the way back home...!

the test ride is totally free once you've given me the money for the bike...!

Alternatively, you can have a farewell ride and a lovely train ride home with all the lovely cash I might give you. Free facemask included.

It is a GSA, isn’t it?

it's a very nice GSA, must drag it out when I'm home tomorrow and take some more pictures and read the service history to answer some questions... and remove the stickers from the bloody thing...

I'm more than happy to deliver it :)

(for a small fee)

No one in the Glasgow area, or within shouting distance, even to let me sling a leg over to see if I still have a GS shaped bum???

No one at all?

Not long since sold mine.....ain’t that just typical!

Keep looking and you’ll find someone to help.
