Just had my 12,000 mile service on the Dakar and it set me back £370 - they did do the front brakes and an instrument light as well, but seems very steep - any ideas what this service normally costs other people?

An inspection at 12000 at our place is £249 with no other work...

If the standard service is £249, then an extra £100 or so for the labour on finding the bulb and changing the pads - both of which can be a little fiddly - doesn't sound too bad. I think I might be back to my little local independent dealership next time though!

Yep - I guess the price was right - just seems a lot to my bank manager!
The cost of servicing a Dakar is higher than the cost of servicing any of my cars. The Dakar seems to be just really expensive. Such a requiring telecopic fluids changing annually.
