12 Volt Hairdryers

Try one of these:

Both of those 12v driers are about one tenth the power of a normal hair drier.

Starting the bike engine and leaning over it would probably be quicker:augie

I'd have thought that gas curling tongs or straighteners would be more effective.:nenau

Val.H did one for Jill for the East Mid's bash.... Sadly not as good as expected as it started to melt the fuse and housing....but the fuse never blew...we couldn't work out why....I seem to recall the hair dryer still worked. Not sure if the VERY long wire had anything to do with it.

Have placed this in Heels On Wheels section also but thinkin about it after imagined it would be the guys sorting it out for wives, girlfriends etc or themselves :augie

Found this on Ebay and wondered if anyone knew if any good or can recommend an alternative product:

A chap at work today brought in one of these, said they have at Maplins different wattage ones so should be ok to run off nicks bike ???

I've also emailed the hotel to ask if there anywhere I can plug a hair dryer into in the swimmin/shower block for us ladies as would be easier :)

.....and just got this email back:

Dear Madam,
We have sockets in areas were you may use your hair dryer but not in the shower area. Against health & safety I am sorry, but they are just outside this area.

Looking at what they can power, I'd guess this looks more "appropiate":

Might be an idea to have a look on your hairdryer and see if it gives any power / wattage information.

I wouldn't expect there to be anything left of the battery after using one of these.

As per your email reply; just bring your normal hairdryer.

If you come to the east mids bash I'm pretey sure you'll find they have haridryers too.
