its 12 years today since the road racing champion joey dunlop was killed,1 of of my best biking memories is sitting on a hedge at kells road racing and seeing joey and another racer coming flat out towards the cornor i was on.
the ground shook and the 2 bikes matched each other move for move 6" apart at over 120 mph,
any one else got any good memories of the great man

exactly the same as my first memory of him. wonder if we were both at the same race?! :D

I was at his funeral. sitting next to a little old lady - must've been in her 80's. She was his neighbour / made me feel like i was part of the family. I felt honoured and will never forget the hospitality and open friendship given to all that sad day.

Joey; still missed and always will be remembered.

It's a small country so could have been the same race it's a pity to see so many road races gone only 3 left in the south
It's amazing the way joey said so much to so many by Savin do little

I was standing about 3 feet away from him in Skerries at the start line. Such a presence of greatness I couldn't even manage to take a photo.
I be sitting in the ditches again this year eagerly awaiting the roar as the thunder past us.
