Hi, I have a 2006 1200ADV that has developed a starting problem:
Turn the ignition on, goes through the checks – No errors
Push the start button – Bike cranks over, but fails to start
Push and hold the start button for 10 to 20 seconds – Bike starts, but idles very roughly, before finally running smooth.
All of the above occurs whether the bike is on the side or centre stand.
The problem only happens when the bike is cold and stood for a few days, but then not every time. I have had it back to the dealers, with no faults recorded but they did change the plugs.
Any help / advice / pearls of wisdom, would be greatly appreciated.
