I've not done much night time riding on my GS but recently noticed that my headlamp dims everytime I brake. This is presumably the electric servo drawing power but is this normal ?
Anyone else experiencing the same problem and does it get worse if you use one of the PIAA bulbs?

Mine seems to dim a little too :thumb2 It`ll be all the electrickery it needs to power servos, lights, brake lights & other assorted lectric junk we fit to these bikes :D

Yes your right guys, the servo brakes suck current and the voltage supplying the lights drop until the alternator\regulator can compensate. Not the best design but it's normal (for the GS12). :)

Yes, it's bloody awful design. BWM when questioned say their lights meet all relevant standards (crappy standards then!).
It improves with 50% extra bulbs fitted (cheapest mod), better still with any kind of supplementary lights (usually run straight off the battery on a different circuit) & if sufficient HIDs are fitted would presumably burn a hole through anything ahead & make the argument irrelevant
