1200 GS running costs.

In an idle moment I worked out my running cost for the last 12000 miles, including insurance but not deprecation it comes out at around 14p a mile. I think that’s pretty good but the amount of warrantee work is a bit worrying on the cost implications. If a years warrantee cost £650 and based on an annual mileage of 12000 that’s going to add 5.4p a mile, nearly 40 percent of the running cost.

You can see why the warranty cost has been increased. Hopefully most of the 'early' problems with the 1200 are now sorted, but makes me think buying a new one makes better economic sense than a second hand one when the warranty costs are factored in.
