My bike has developed a fault that i carnt get to the bottom of , running fine then all of a sudden when slowing down clutch in the bike stalls ,it fires back up but need to keep it revving it will not tickover but on open throttle its ok got it back home let her cool down but still wont idle struggling to fire , checked battery etc sidestand switch they checkout im baffled 😕

Dunno but my first GS twin cam would do that and it was put down to running too lean on the fueling

Coils perhaps? If you pull off the primary and secondary coils you could check the condition of the rubber boots. They can crack affecting their performance...just a thought!

When mine behaved like that it was the throttle position sensor. Replaced and all OK since.

Have you checked it's not drawing air at the throttle bodies eg a split hose or one of the rubber vacuum port covers missing or split, unlikely on a 2013 bike but worth a look.

There is idle actuator/stepper motors which can be re-calibrated with a GS911 diagnostic tool.

Ive recalibrated adaptions wiv my gs911 etc , god knows was ideling fine when i set off bike was cold was only after around 20min riding it started

This suggest something is happening when hot.

Obvious ones already mentioned. I'd do coils first and see if it makes any difference, then balance throttle bodies and calibrate tps, finally quick spray of wd40 near intakes see if revs increase.

My brand new 90th anniversary GSA 2013 had one of the vacuum rubber covers missing on delivery so perfectly possible.

Update , checked coils they are all sparking and the plugs , just wont tickover if u keep the throttle opened runs fine soon as you let go stalls instantly must be a fuel issue , ive run a 12v supply to the fuel pump controller and still the same 🙈🙈🙈

I think this could be one of the o2 lambda sensors on the exhaust. My 2006 GS (not LC) had these symptoms and replacing one of the lambda sensors cured the problem. At the time it was fixed by dealer under guarantee but Im sure they had a fault code when connected to their diagnostic system.

why not try recalibrating the idle stepper motors

on the motoscam app just push do it, 1 min later good to go, it just moves them through full travel and drops back to the position it thinks it needs

have you tried fuel system cleaner? doesn't cost a lot and no downside to trying
