1200 GSA Code Plugs

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Redaing through some old threads i see some recommendations for removing certain code plugs to improve the power delivery but cant see anything specific to the 1200 GSA. Is there someting us GSA owners should be looking at. Mine suffers bad vibes from 70 mph upwards and would welcome some tweaks to ease the numbness in my fingers and feet!

AFAIK the 1200 does not have the cat code plug fitted to the earlier bikes.

Defo no plugs on the 1200s.

The engine smoothes out the more miles you put on it; big difference from 5-10000 miles and noticeable right up to 20000ish miles.
Other factors could be FI out of balance and to a lesser extent valve clearances.

Thanks, that would be why i coudnt find any reference to them i guess!:blast
Just a quickie though, i appreciate the valve clearance comment and will set to and check that out but what a F1? and what do i need to do to it?

Sorry, meant to type FI (fuel injection ).

The throttle bodies need to be balanced in much the same way as carbs do. Balance gauges or, a good 'ear' (to listen for them opening closing together), are what's needed.
