Please can anyone tell me whether it is possible to swap out the rider foot pegs on my current model GS Adventure for the standard issue GS1200 ones? The rubber capped ones from the GS look like (hopefully) vibration killers on the road. It seems to the naked eye that they should be swappable but I'd like to be sure before I order.

don't know I am afraid - but willing to swap my GS ones with you if so!

Good suggestion but I think I would keep the Adventure ones for now, either because I will have a real adventure (and the grippy pegs would be the way to go, or much later for resale. Sorry about that. If it is any help the GS pegs cost about £30 each, although the rubber bits are c.£5/6 each, so presumably the GSA ones are similar. I am wondering whether there may be an aftermarket solution for us both?

BMW do wide Rubber inserts for your 12GSA pegs, cost about £2 each - check with your dealer, no need to order slim 12GS Pegs that way

I have spoken to my local BMW dealer and they say there are no rubber inserts available for GSA 1200 pegs? Maybe there were for the pre 08 model?

Nah.........dealer talking shite

From the 2008 BMW Accessory brochure on Page 8 listed R1200GS (under Comfort and Ergonomics Options -wide enduro footpegs @ £40 each)

I give you " Foot Peg Padding (order one for each )" Part #46717683137 - Price £1.50 each

There you go.................tell the dealer how to do his job or even better look at the sodding brochures in their fecking showroom

Useless feckwits

Simple solution for 3 of your finest pounds

This is why I removed the rubbers from my footpegs, Blinkin leathal when they're slippy wet!!

Didnt really notice any increase in vibration without them. The only downside is my boots are a bit chewed up where I rest 'em on the pegs, but not so's they're knackered!
