1200 with a low seat

one of my friends is thinking of getting a 1200 for our (still in the planning stage!) trip down the Panam highway has anyone within striking distance of oxford got one with a low seat he could have a sit on?

What's the Kahedo seat like compared to the Sargent? The stock Adventure seat is not very comfortable on smooth roads after a while...
