Help needed, just ordered a Givi Pannier Rack (PL5108CAM) with a view to mounting a 48L pannier on the nearside and a 37L on the Exhaust side - to keep some symmetry.

I 'won' a 48L outback Trekker on Ebay but have spotted that it appears to be for the right/Exhaust side, not the nearside - am I screwed or will I be able to mount in on the nearside? Can I reverse the mechanism?

Thanks for any help! Greg/

Looking at the mounting pic's on the net, it doesn't look like the mountings are 'handed'.
So you should be ok............... from what I can see.

Hope it works out for ya.

I have that set up. Same mounting frame and a 48L nearside. 37L offside. The frame is handed and so are the panniers.

Here are my boxes. And to confirm your handing problem, you can't swap the locking mechanism.

OK, I suspected as much ;-(

So I guess my other option is I run 48L and 48R, and see how that goes - I can always resell the 48R on Ebay at some point if its too wide...

Thanks All! Great Forum! Greg/
