Hi. Has anyone experience of fitting a Nippy Norman High Wide screen to their GS.

My problem is buffeting/noise with the standard screen , even at maximum setting. Passenger suffers even worse. Does the NN High Wide fix the problem?

Cheers. MikeH

Nearly all GS riders have this problem and there are numerous solutions. Your seated height will be important here, and the best option to to try and test some options before deciding what will work. Some of the solutions are quite expensive, so a mistake can be costly.

I tried a laminar lip, which moved the buffeting upwards, but it still hit the top of my helmet. Persons shorter than me may well recommend this product, but it didn't work for me. Then I was lucky and dropped on a used Cee Bailey's screen from this site. It works a treat, but AFAIK the previous owner didn't like it because the top edge got in his line of vision.

Horses for courses.

It was 100% successful for me and is way better than the one on my replacement GSA, wish i'd kept it when i changed bikes.

As has been said many times, it's a combination of your height, seat model & height, what screen you're using & what angle it's set at, Tobinators, & probably temperature & wind as well. Oh & winglets.
It's always worth getting a slippery helmet too (not a circumcision plug)
But yes, I use a high wide NN screen, probably because I got it cheap.
Off to Paris next w/e, so it can't be too bad

I bought one last year as the standard one was not good when riding alone and even worse when riding with my wife.

NN High Wide is perfect for me and also for riding two up. I am 175cm tall with the seat in high position and my wife is 162cm tall.

We also tried Wunderlich Ergo screen when my bike fell during maneuvering on the pavement in Nice. The amount of buffeting felt like my head should explode in higher positions. In lower positions it was better but still far from the comfort of NN High Wide screen.

But as mentioned by others the comfort depends on many factors including rider/pillion height, helmet type, seat height and so on...
