Just got back from 2 weeks in the Alps on my 1200 Adv. Fully loaded with missus on the back the bike performed very well. This was my first trip on the bike as I picked it up in Germany on my way to Switzerland.

I must say I was a little bit more happy on my 04' GS in the corners. Could be due to weight, different steering geo on the Adventure. After a few miles of twisties it did not prevent me from enjoying all the hairpins we encounteres. Even passed a few unloaded bikes as they were holding us up in the corners :)

After getting home I have been thinking about what exactly makes me enjoy the GS's so much. It is just so easy to ride. The confidence it gives me in the corners is phenomenal. Corners feel easier on these beasts than on my Tuono.

This has made me consider getting rid of my T in favour of the Megamoto. If this thing is even easier to ride than a GS, and have the added performance, it maybe the perfect bike for me. I don't really need the wind protection of a screen, but the ability to carry a pillion and some luggage would be nice. I have seen the touring conversion of the HP2, so maybe it is possible to do similar things to the Megamoto.

I will definitely have to try one. Anyone here whoo has, and can give me an idea of how it compares to a GS?

I'm sure the Megamoto is brilliant, but if you are keeping the GS,do you really want two bikes so similar ?

I love my GSA but I wouldn't really want another similar Boxer twin-part of the reason why I sold my Boxercup Rep.

If you like your Tuono and the idea of a Megamoto, try and test a KTM Superduke.

I had a Tuono last year and loved it but my Superduke is SOOOO much better.

If you can try one, make sure it's a new 07 model as they are much improved over the old 05/06 bike.

It really is fab and is a great alternative ride to the GS/A.

I love mine :

PS

Plus the SD is over £4000 cheaper than the Megamoto !!!

Iv'e not ridden the Megamoto but own an HP2 so guess it would be similar in wieght and performance etc... The HP2 is easier to ride than my R1150GSA and my R1200 before it however the front end dives dramatically under breaking, The Megamoto I believe has different forks to the HP2 and another 5hp so it will be a tad faster and not dive as much. Neither have the telelever front suspension which in y opinion is the biggest factor in making the BMW's handle like they are on rails. Interestingly enough whilsat at lunch with a group of others on GS's I mentioned the bike I would like to really thrash round the Nurburgring would be either a Megamoto or an Aprilia Tuono R???
I can't comment on Mannies KTM as I have never ridden one but looks to be a similar tool and use as the Megamoto with hopefully a bigger fuel tank.

HAve Fun
