I have now sold my 1150GSA with alloy luggage and will soon take delivery of a 12GSA with BMW tin panniers. :D :D :D :D :bounce1 :bounce1 :bounce1

For those who have already done this, are the 1150GSA pannier inner bags a good fit in the 1200?  :nenau :nenau :mmmm :mmmm

Hate to sell them on this site only to discover they are the same or very similar. :spitfire :spitfire :spitfire

Thanks in advance for any replies.

I've not owned either pannier system, but did look into the possibility of fitting 1150Adv panniers to a 1200Adv, (found it wasn't worthwhile) and reckon that the 1200 panniers are bigger in all dimensions than the 1150.

Why not sell the 1150 ones and get a pair of inners from Mane Event or Sportouring?

Good point.

If the 1150s fit, it seems pointless buying a new set when the old will do.

Unfortunately neither company lists inner bags for the new GSA panniers, although I have e mailed them to find out if they are in the pipeline.

Your 1150 pannier inner bags will roll down smaller , but if your new panniers are bigger then you might be loosing space , you could use both in one pannier to seperate clothes but a made to fit version would be better :thumb
Iv'e used Main Event inner bags for a Morocco trip and they came appart at the seems . I was fully refunded on the return of the bags with an appology . Very nice man :clap

I can't help you ref the 1150 ones, but I can tell you that the BMW inner bags for the GSA12 are brilliant.

Ok,there will always be those people on here who will tell you that they are overpriced and that you can save £7.99 by going to XYZ or just use Safeways bags for £2.99 each.

I've just been to Madrid and back on my bike and was please that the panniers didn't leak a drop.

But the inner bags are brill as they fit like a glove (different sizes for left and right due exhaust cut out on).

They are obviously total waterproof in their own right and come with straps to attach them firmly to the top hooks on the panniers,so you can double your carrying capacity should you need to.

I was so impressed that I've just ordered the top box/inner bag as well.

How much do these bags cost?

That's the amount in litres you loose because of them.

Well you can't have the same bags as me then,'cos they fit like a glove.

How did you guess? I've a 1150 GSA now :o

But, I did have a 1200 and the BM inner's. Have you looked at the LH bag's shape and the pannier? What about the space aboe the exhaust? And all the fancy expansion fabric etc etc?

Very smart, very nicely made, very convenient, but they don't use the space well.
