afternoon, im looking at getting a new exhaust but need to know if any of the exhaust wont fit with my standard side panniers.

Slip on:

Leo Vince SBK evo II

Scorpion

Akrapovic (very expensive)

SP engineering exhausts.

Thanks

My GSA has an Akra 2-1-2 system which officially wont fit the GSA.

The solution was to use M5 button head screws on the side frame front mount with dome nuts on the outside. The button heads need less space than the clip on captive nuts and give enough clearance. The rear cross bar gets sooty from the bottom muffler outlet but that's no biggie.

The gap from RHS case frame to tyre edge is 110mm to 115mm so in theory a 100mm diameter end can could be fitted with a modified RHS frame on both sides of the bike.

Its only theory because I'm not about to cut and weld a Ti system to prove a point. However I had intended to have a twin 100mm mufflers tail end system made to fit a Remus header. It was planned to fit parallel to the tyre to give enough room for a full width aftermarket side case.

A used Akraprovic full system came up for a good price so that went on instead. :)

Most aftermarket headers duplicate the standard bracket and outlet stub so can be used with standard or aftermarket muffler. Most aftermarket mufflers duplicate the standard muffler dimensions so all can be mixed and matched.

This Akra is a complete systen and not interchangeable. Others might swap about but check.

Pre 2009 systems will fit the TC bikes if the flap valve is taken off.

I fitted a Leo Vince SBK on 2011 GSA with no problems, I also removed the flapper valve thing too

How did you remove the flapper?
Does it give any errors? Did you remove also the servo motor of the flapper?

Hi Olsin77, just buy a I think about 4-5 inch of stainless steel tube or off cut and replace the flapper valve, I had no errors on the dash as I removed the flapper valve and cable and re-connected the servo, my exhaust work fine the gsa panniers too

Good, next thing to try.
As it happens, i have a GS 911. I will check it afterwards for error codes and report.
But i would guess, if you remove the valve and leave the servo connected it shouldn't have any errors.

Covered many times in other threads.
ECU will register a fault code, but it has no effect on how the bike runs and the code will clear if you plug in a working valve motor.
Take it all off, soak in oil and wrap in tough parts storage bags.
