1200GSA ESA Wilbers/WESA - Anyone got 'em?

Thanks i have decided to go down the WESA route with Revs but they tell me about the time of my model a Sept 2010 GSA BM changed the suspension, White Power and i should see a sticker on the bottom of the suspension unit saying which it is. Dammed if i can though! Anyone any bright ideas?!

My 2008 model had grey springs whereas my 2012 model had white springs before I swapped out for WESA. The white spring shocks were White Power.
Hope that helps.

Mine was built about the same time and I have also done the swap to WESA.

Ask the dealer. They will have the exact shocks for your specific bike.

The shock swap was about July 2010 so the build date will tell you which.

I bought mine in September 2010 it was an Anniversary model but had the later shocks I.e. same as 2011 model

White Power (WP) used to be made in Holland. They are now part of the Bombardier (Rotax, KTM, Skidoo, etc) empire made in Austria.

hi ,i know is a old topic but do i have to do anything with programing or coding if i swap different shock to the bike? obviously is esa shock from wilbers

Wilbers use your ESA on the new shocks if that's what you are doing.
Anyhow, if you were to fit a new esa unit all it would need, if anything, is calibrating with a GS911.

Zombie thread alert!!!

Glad I got the WESA incidentally :thumb

i got second hand from ebay and is with electric esa unit

It’s plug and play mate***. I have done it and it’s fine. Two connectors under the front of the tank : one to the stepper motor for damping at the bottom of the shock, the other to the preload motor (a hydraulic pump) at the top of the shock. Fiddly little fekkers to undo. No programming or anything needed.

Ps I assume you know earlier GSs had showa shocks, later ones have White Power. Changed in mid 2010.

*** Edit.... make sure the preload and damping position of the incoming shock is the same as the outgoing one. I.e both on one helmet & comfort (or whatever as long as it matches). If not you will need a gs911 to perform a shock calibration.

Revs who fit Wilbers shocks to your OEM ESA kit, ask for shocks to be on minimum preload and softest damping.
