Hi,
just looking to buy a 1200gsa at the moment, but as expected all the good/cheap ones are miles away!
Just wondered if any of you have got a gsa12 In the back of a renault trafic (low roof/swb)?
Id rather go and look at a few and if I decide to buy bring it home in back of van, rather than making a trip to see a bike then another to get it back.
if you've vanned a bike back can you please tell me what issues you had?
Thanks,
John

If it is the one the same shape as the Movano it will fit length ways but with a low top it will probably mean screen and mirror removal

Trafic and Movano are totally different, I can get a 1200GS in my primastar (same as trafic) if I take the screen and mirrors off, with about 2-3" room to spare, not sure how much taller an adv is

Mmmm, not taken measurements but suspect ed itd be tight, 2-3 inches would make for a precarious load, with the weight of a gsa also id prolly end up dropping it off ramp. Think ill see if I can get someone to ferry me about as Aberdeen Angus suggested, or get a train timetable! Not what I wanted as I might end up buying the first one I see. Still, at least id be able to ride it home :bounce1

fitted into a Vito. removed screen and dropped bars.. strapped it down to anchor points on the floor and drove home. not a problem.. think you'll have to do the same sort of thing to get it into a traffic van.

Wrong question:

The question should be:
Will the Renault Traffic van go long enough to take me home!

gsa in a van

Without stripping the bike you will need a standard Ford Transit. Good roof height and length.

Van Transport

If you want to transport a GSA in a van go for the LWB Transit, no need to strip anything off.
