Did any year of the 1250 GS / GSA have just two 02 sensors or have they all had 3 sensors?

I’m looking at a set of aftermarket headers. I presume the image of them is outdated as it shows no threaded lug at the silencer end of the pipe and seller is definitely selling ones for a 1250 but my question to him seems lost in translation as I can’t get an answer as to whether it had 3rd lug or not

Those look like de cat headers. The whole point of the third lambda is to test the gasses beyond the cat. If you don’t have one there is no need for the third lambda. I presume it will need some ecu tweak or a lambda fooler to prevent errors.

They're hexhead headers - post up a picture of the ones you're looking at.

The 1200 ones only have two and have a greater bend in them than the 1250.

As already replied, the all came with 3 sensors.
However, the first models came with the #3 sensor not activated.

Why BMW did this will only be speculation from my part.
Generally BMW (and probably other manufacturers as well) will not activate the compliance to new regulations sooner than they have to. In this case, the 1250 was introduced in 2019, but the Euro 5 regulations where in force from 01.01.2020 for new types of bikes, and for types already in the marked, 01.01.2021.
This means that you MAY luck out and have a bike where the ECU still disregard the #3 sensor.
The header that fits the 1250 will probably still have arrangement for installing 3 O2 sensors, but there is a fair chance that there will be no fault-code triggered by the #3 sensor.

We may further speculate to why BMW installed the #3 sensor and not using it. My guess is that when time is due, an ECU software upgrade for pre 2021 bikes in future will activate the sensor. I am sure BMW did not put it in there for the 'good looks' only.

unfortunately I can't get an image of them. the image they had is the one above, which are incorrect.

Does anyone tune the 1250 yet?

Does anyone tune the 1250 yet?

If you enter 'Treetop Tuning' in search on FB, you will be able to get in touch with tuners that actually tune the 1250, including Dynochart that shows throttle positions and AFR. And it's for real, not just bullshit and nonsens.

Remus do them with three sensor sleeves. Not gone ahead yet and fitted.

I have the Remus headers on mine with the 3 sensors, though mine are decatted with no flappy valve, so you need a Servo buddy or similar device to avoid the error codes. Mine has been to Hilltop and the fuelling and performance improvements are sublime.
