Well said Judge, my 12GS waits in the garage for the sun to shine, and the roads to dry out. I have dreams of travelling, that may never happen, but when i'm riding to where ever, nothing else matters, a 5 mile ride or a 50 mile ride puts the same smile on my face,..........will the beak and the alloy rocker cover protectors from the adventure fit the 12GS?, they'll look nice in the garage, while i'm dreaming of spring and summer.

Nicely put! :thumb

Welcome to the site, BTW!

Straight from the horse's mouth today, price for the standard 1200ADV is £9755, abs and heated grips remain the same, £800 and £195 respectively.........

No price yet for the new panniers, but make sure you order your pannier brackets with the bike has these seem to be a seperate item.

Launch date is to be confirmed but is set around the 22 of march, yippee cant wait......

This information was from my local Bmw dealer today.

The BC button is for the Bord Computer (onboard computer). The picture below also shows the switchgear for the fogs (that takes a second switch) and a second power outlet.

I can't remember seeing the 2nd 12v plug on the demo

On the R1200GS the 2nd accessory socket is a shop-fitted accessory. I don't see why that would have changed. I.e if you want it, you're going to have to ask your dealer for it and they'll fit it. :)

The Demo 1200 Adv and the customer bikes I've seen have it.

Maybe you were too distracted by all the other Bling? :D

The second auxilliary socket is an extra! I've put one on in the usual position so I can run a wire into my tank bag to charge the 'phone, run the on board camera etc. Except I did it myself and wired it through a Centech fuse box so it's live all the time... ok then for trickle charging.

The Centech is a tight fit, removed the first fuse, there's enough for me without it, but it's out of the way of the crap, and easy to get to. Didn't want it on top of the battery where it gets loadsa crud.

Almost 2,000 miles now, Scotland twice... and back up there at Easter :D

Centech position on 1200GS-A
There's a small lug on the air box, does nothing except hold a clip to secure a wire. Cut the lug off, the wire lies behind the Centech unit without being trapped :D
