I've heard of this place Scotland. What is it like, are the locals friendly?

Hi All
Firmed up now.
Its still planned as Scotland, however still flex on this if the weather is crap.
What is firm now are the Dates.
Leaving mine in Derbyshire on Sat 16
Back home Wed 21
If Scotland OK outline is
16 - Glasgow ish
17- Inverness ish
18 - Aviemore ish
19 - Braemar ish
20 - Glasgow ish
Route will take in vast majority of the roads mentioned on best bike roads UK
Im happy to hook up in Scotland for a day trip with anyone who fancies it and is local
Im happy to put people up at mine on 15 and 21 As required.
Hope thats of use and indeed interest to some folk

I'm probably still keen - although
a) being mucked about by work, so need to confirm the leave
b) the weather does appear to rather contradict the title of the thread. I may have to put the hand-muffs and skirt thing back on....
