This must have been done to death already, sorry

But I was looking for wider pegs with a rubber insert for road use. The stock are just silly small, for me anyway.

Recommendations (and I really like the look of them) suggests the LR MotoPegs, but I got the email response saying that the R1300 fitment has been discontinued ☹️

Is there a difference between the pegs on the 1300 and the previous models?

I also saw the Altrider Adventure X, but no rubber insert. Any other suggestions?

Cheers

These are the bmw enduro , i find them plenty big enough with big boots. They also have black rubber inserts.20251129_135757.jpg

The BMW enduro would have cost me $1000 (cad) for the pair. The SW Motech ION are almost identical for $250 (cad) and that is what I've ordered

There thing about the SWMotec is they say they fit the 1250 and 1300, while others are saying the 1300 mounts are different? e.g. the Motopegs discontinuing the 1300 ??

why is nothing easy :ROFLMAO:

I’ve got them on my 1300 gs, had them on most of the summer and they work well, you just take the rubber inserts out of the original foot pegs and bolt the new ones on up through the existing pegs.
I’ll post up some photos so you can see them.
As a bonus I’m putting them up for sale as I’ve just bought a 1250 RT.

Sizes & photos of the wunderlich foot pegs.

Its mainly for highway comfort (for now anyway) so maybe the cheap Wunderlich will do me for now.
Thanks all

SW Motech vs. Stock. They work on a r1300gs

big wide pegs make gear changing less fun / less comfortable / harder work

2007 GS had std pegs, gear change is great, and can move about to chuck the bike around easily
2011 GSA first thing I did was to get rid the hideous pegs and fit proper GS ones so you can actually change gear and ride it quickly
2025 1300 with enduro pack - brings a silly pathetic narrow width, overly wide front to back joke - you ride around on the edge of the peg wondering why you haven't slipped off yet - and its only the rubber that allows you to try and change - where you discover the gear lever is so stiff you need three mates to try and move up or down the box - the last thing anyone needs is too much width hindering your foot from moving in the arc required to shift - add in shift assist which is an irritating annoyance that messes up changing nicely - you wonder if they ever rode the bike after making them

whilst I get big fat wide pegs and motocross boots are OK for off roading and especially if standing on the pegs for hours - I never intend to do much of either on a GS - as I'm not trying to win the dakar - it comes with a seat so I'll use it - and I ride a bike for fun, not to struggle to change gear and wobble as my feet fall of the pegs after stepping across three puddles of diesel spillage you find on every forecourt

Hi Gordon, I’m in Fife,if you want to pop over for a look at the
wunderlich ones. I’m going to stick them up for sale along with a set of bar risers.

Each to their own of course but never found a problem with quick shifts and larger pegs. The SW-Mototech ones are highly adjustable up / down / angle forward or backwards.
Personally I think they are night and day better (more comfortable) than the standard pegs.
I stand up for less than 5% of the time I'm on the bike, probably 1% to be honest - but I get on and off the bike every time I ride it and the larger peg makes me feel a lot more sure footed.

Also agree that wearing big motocross style boots (I rarely do) makes a huge difference in the ability to change gear quickly - guess that's something you have to get used to and could be a factor in deciding what's best for you.

It looks as if I have the standard pegs, not enduro They measure 85 by 30 and and my initial thought was I needed more than the 85 to support more of the width of the boot. I didn't actually realise they were 85, and looking at replacements I'm not sure I would get that much more so may give this idea up pending getting more time on the bike.

You have a valid consideration here, and why I thought about the pivot type. Changing a peg for more of a platform is maybe not the best idea.

Thanks for the thought but I think I've decided against this option.
