you will notice that once aboard the bike is very easy to ride, and with that, easy to ride fast.

two hours is enough, just enjoy it:)

It depends on you inside leg measurement. If it's less than 29" to 30", I'd suggest a low seat. It also depends on the bike. If we're talking an '08/'09 bike with ASC, then you might be able to manage when the bike's stationary or at low speed, by setting it fully soft on the solo setting. If the bike's pre '08, I'd suggest that you dial in lots of preload - close to maximum - on the rear, to achieve a decent rate of turn. Even with a 29" to 30" inside leg, you'd be advised to use a low seat with that much preload on the rear.

1st test ride report

Well lets start at the beginning, builders were suppose to finish work tuesday giving me wednesday to get ready for my thursday test ride but 8.30 wednesday night still working, gets up early gets bike out checks tyre pressures, squeezes back into my leathers gets on the bike bang flat battery, pushing bike up and down the road in one piece leathers not a good start, managed to get it started, then up onto the M62 just past Burtonwood fuel light comes on, so more delays as I try to find fuel, gets to Williams and surprising I'm only 20 min late, so on to the ride, 1st impressions big, wide, lumpy and funny indicators, headed out with the plan to do the cat and fiddle road, only because I hate that road and thought it would be a good test of the bikes handling, in traffic the bmw beats the Gixxer in both comfort and road presence, onto the motorway and the two bikes are more evenly match quite a lot of buffering on the Bmw so onto the twisties and as luck would have it got on to the back of a sports bike now for a man who hasn't rode for 6 months and on a bike he's never rode the sports bike never got away, these Gs,s handle like a dream and inspired loads of conferdance, getting back on the Gixxer for the ride home was like ride a pogo stick and was a flurry of speed and generl unlawfulness.
So an enjoyable couple of hours and the burning question is would I buy one, the answer is yes I would, but I'm going to leave it for a week and sleep on it as buying one would mean p/x both car and bike for one bike, so it would be back to riding all year round and not sure if I want to go back to that.

I pretty much ride all year on me GS now!! Have to take the car out occationally to move the oil around and top the battery up!! think its done less than 1000miles in a year, prefer riding me GS (12000+miles this year) :):thumb

The GS is a bike you jus get on ride do things and go places, stuff the weather!:pullface

Heated grips n muffs not once cold! :D

Takes a little while to get used to 'em (especialy after 'sports' bikes) have another couple of hours on a GS!:thumb2

Sportsbikes are great, but to focused!

The GS will pretty much do it all!!:bounce1
