Can anyone confirm if a set of spikes wheels from a 2006 R1200 GSA would work on my 2011?

Take it if they do I can just fit my spare TPMs sensors or are wheels to accept sensors different? I can’t see how they would be but best to ask..

Thanks as normal..

To confirm Seahorse, yes, they'll fit.

Just to throw in a wobbly, the LC wheels will also fit (rear is a straight fit, front needs a simple bush making). Just not sure what the dynamics are of fitting a slightly wider wheel.

I use cast wheels in the winter and spokes in the summer, the sensors are all the same and you can code 2 sets of sensors on the 2011 bike so swapping wheels around is no problem.
The rear wheel bolts are different lengths between cast and spokes.
I always keep the font disc pads marked up and kept with the relevant wheel.
The main advantage with running 2 sets of wheels is that you can plan to have a good set of tyres on rims if you are going on a tour.
Nothing worse than changing tyres that are 3/4 worn.

Good idea and thanks for the info. I’ve got the wheels and getting them off to be checked.

I like that idea on the winter summer options.

So you don’t just keep the discs with the front wheel you run two sets of wheels and discs and pads?
My thoughts were to just swap the brakes with the wheels.

Another of my thoughts were if I get a puncture it is quicker to swap the wheel with discs on it.
The discs last twice as long when you have 2 sets :) the bike has done over 100K miles and still using these original discs with plenty of wear left on them.
