New owner of a 2007 Xcountry and no handbook so sorry if I have a few simple and obvious questions. I have searched but.... cannot establish whether the Xcountry wire wheels can take tubeless tyres or have to have tubes. (I have not had spoked wheels before)

The bike is currently fitted with Tourance and appears to have tubes as the valves have a nut on the stem. Can tubeless be fitted? What would you recommend?

Tubeless (as in 12GS type) tyres can't be fitted

You have fit tubed type tyres and inner tubes

A variety of manufacturers make tyres suitable

Depends if you want knobbly or road?

Johnny,
thanks. I will need to get up to speed on fixing tubed punctures by the look of it then.

For the moment the Tourance will suffice, but we will see how the use develops.

Sorry...it's on Distanzia...not Tourance, and first impressions are very good in the twisties and ok on the few easy trails it has been down today.
