I've had my adventure now for 6months and the midsole of my left boot has been torn to shreds by the serrated footpegs. What do others do?

One option is to change the pegs to road going ones but what model ones will fit.

Is there a cover for the pegs so that for road use they can be smooth

Another option is to glue a small metal plate to the insole of the left boot.

There again I can get a new pair of boots, but which ones would survive the serrated pegs?

Any help would be gratefully received

Andre

Not aware of any inserts you can get for the adventure...only the regular 12GS.

I use the Hein Gericke Rallye GTX boots and they stand up to the teth pretty well (still get chewed up a bit though).

Prefer that to my foot slipping off the pegs (don't like the sound of metal plate on the sole though...)

fastway pegs from www.nippynormans.co.uk

I got a pair of rubber rests (which simply fit into the Adv rests and are clamped from underneath and held with 2 small nyloc nuts) from a lad on this site. ie private sale, not a dealer. If you ask at a Beemdub dealer for rubber rests for a GX enduro they'll give you exactly the same as you need! Don't know what they cost in a dealer though. :thumb2

Thanks for all the info. Went to Rainbow in Rotherham and asked the question and the inserts from the enduro will fit. They are getting me a set. Thanks again

Yep, they're also chewing up the sole on my Daytonas - i do like the extra purchase, especially in the wet.

Any Chance of a part number for these. I have tried on several occasions to get some from a dealer with the ususal response of "we dont do those.."
Many Thanks in Advance.
