2008 red plastic fuel neck thingy

I reckon there's still the capacity for a few more litres of fuel if you can get the air cushion out (just like the mod to drill the neck of the pre-08 models).

Has anyone got a spare or a cross section drawing?

If its like the earlier models, you can hook it out with a finger and a sharp pull (fnarr, fnarr).

Why bother it's vented at the very top so you can dribble in that extra half litre relatively easily and eek another 10 miles out of the tank if you really need it

I think it's only vented to the bottom of the plastic filler tube leaving a considerable air cushion at the top. There's useable volume there.

I did the fuel filler neck mods on my 06 GSA and it did allow a fill to the very top (if needed) but I've been able to fill to the very top on my 09 quite easily without doing any mods so I think I'll leave it as BM intended,the drawback with the mod on the previous bike with filling to the top was losing fuel down the overflow pipe due to expansion within the tank if I parked up for a while after filling-something to be avoided if possible

Just incase anybody else has noticed the same?

Just got a new gsa and when I rock the bike gently there is a tapping noise from the top of the tank? I can also feel the "tap" when you touch the side of the tank!
Do they have a ball cock as a level sensor?
