I know, I'm killing myself. I don't have a bike at all, and the chances of me being able to afford one (or should I say convince my wife that we should put our money towards one) of these when it comes out is about as likely as me winning the lottery :blast

Tbh, I really don't understand why they don't put the new 12 into production now.:nenau They have already made a large number of the new bikes for shows, videos etc, and production of the twin cam regular 12 stopped in August, so why the long wait?:nenau

Marketing? :nenau

Or maybe wait until the biking 'season' starts again o they can boast impressive sales figures :nenau

Could be, but its mainly the uk that has a biking season, the rest if the world ride all year round.:comfort

Good point. I would have guessed that europe is the biggest market though, don't they have biking seasons?

Nah, they're dead hard on the continent:D The US is a pretty big market too:rob

I would imagine they are not far off producing the new bike now.If you assume the production capacity is about the same as the last model, which was probably about 350 a week then they will have to supply every dealer in Europe the US and farther afield with at least 1 bike but probably 2 or more.I don't know how many Motorrad dealers there are :nenau That will take months I would imagine, and thats assuming they were at full production capacity straight away which they probably won,t be.

Re starting production - Motorrad Eastern Edinburgh informed me that ,they are getting 6 new GSs on March , from bikes already made or from 2013 production, I don't know. Said 2 are already sold and 1 is for a demo bike.

Because every manufacturer has limited resources and manufacturing capacity.
