Had my 90-years GSA exactly 1-week now and LOVE it! So much better (1,000,000%) than my 2010 GS. Only problem I've noticed so far is at night - lots of vehicles are putting their rear fog lights on when I'm behind them, and oncoming traffic seems to be flashing their headlights at me. Anyone else have the same experience? Cheers.

do you ride with your fog lights on ? If so they may need angling downwards slightly ? Do you have LED fog lights ? If so they are blinding :thumby:

Mine also dazzles on dip when main is set for good range. To avoid dazzling others you have to set it so dip is correct which sadly compromises the main beam range.

I have been riding with the 'fog' lights on. I didn't realise they were so bright. I didn't go for the LED lights - dealer advice...

Mmm, maybe my dealer should adjust them on the first 600-mile service??? I know that I could do it manually, but I'd rather the 'professionals' do it...

To adjust your Aux lights simply...

1. Sit on your bike with it upright and facing your garage door/wall etc. at about 1mtr distance, with lights on dip.
2. Reach forward (or get an assistant) and adjust your aux lights so their beam cut-off is level/slightly below your dip beam cut-off.

Simples...:thumby:

Interesting, why did your dealer advise against the LEDs.....interested as I am due to have mine converted next week.

Cheers

Many thanks, Yonkyo. I'll give that a try. Cheers.

I upgraded my aux lights to BMW LEDs about six months ago.
Dead easy to fit, and they've been brilliant (literally..:augie).

They do however, need careful adjustment, as they are super dazzlers..

So whats so much better about your new GSA then, as the 2010 - 2013 bikes have the same engines and stuff...

I've also just upgraded from my trusty 30,000 mile 2009 GSA, to a spanking 2013 90th edition GSA, and loving it.

Just done the same with a TB - loved my 09 so much and with 40K on the clock it was bedding in nicely....however, the TC motor is deffo a step up ....if not a little more vibe.....once a few K on the clock it is off to Hilltop for a remap....after having a go on a remapped TC I think it is worth the money if keeping for the long term.

Yeah, i loved my 09 GSA, never had it remapped, but had a full Remus/Akra system and Acc. Mod, and she ran as smooth as silk.

Might consider getting the new one remapped in due course though, especially if i fit the Remus/Akra system.

My dealer reckoned that they (the LED's) are not worth the money. Just his advice. I wasn't bothered either way because my new bike came with the aux lights.

I am finding that my new GSA sounds better; I sit taller; the screen is better and so I am better protected from the elements; 50+ mpg; the aluminium top case is better than my old vario case; black engine; smoked grey frame... I am just liking everything about my new 90-years GSA.

I had Les's Hid50 lamps on my old GS, but the new GSA lights and aux lights are just as good. They obviously just need a tweak to stop me blinding everyone ;)
