2014 1200RT & Autocom

I have just received my new 1200RT having been waiting since June. It was due to be delivered to me on the day of the recall!
I previously had a Pan and fitted an autocom unit which was hard wired to my Zumo 550 and an Autocom BTM02 Bluetooth Dongle for my telephone. Both Autocom and the BMW dealer told me that this could be done on the 2014 RT model so I bought a new Spa system but now the dealer has said it cannot be fitted and instead I need to buy a new helmet as the radio, satnav (BMW's own) and telephone can only be mated via bluetooth.

If anyone has any thoughts I would me most grateful for some help. Thanks.

I do know it's not as straightforward as it used to be; Sam at Chainspeed will advise as to what you need.

It can be done look on the k1600 forums quite a number have done it, should have told bmw to stick the bike if they couldn't fit the autocom, as there are a number of dealers that do/have depends how much they want the business

I had the autocom fitted to my 2014 by CW's in Dorchester. I had the bluetooth dongle and integration to the on board radio installed.

I can now use my wired headset with the bike audio, sat nav and phone, all through the autocom and it's great! As I have fitted the autocom everything can be controlled volume wise through the multi function wheel.

Vines in Guildford have just teled me to say they have spoken to BMW tech and as the circuit is limbus (whatever that means) an autocom cannot be fitted!

CW's are on 01305 269 370, try the parts and accessories extension and you should get Stuart. They have fitted quite a few to 2014 RT's.

Ill get some photos up a bit later.

I had the speaker integration with selector switch installed, means I can use all the on board audio through the autocom, along with the selector wheel for volume. This switch allow me to mute the speakers and use the autocom or switch back to the on board speakers.
