the galv exhaust has to go on the LC..as does that car silencer type monstrosity underneath the XR

Might be right, but saw a carbon Akro on a two year old LC the other day and the carbon looked shagged, see what other cheaper alternatives are out there for next year.

In my experience, black paint always seems soft and suffers from microscratches. Lighter colours are much less susceptible to this. It's one of the reasons why I bought a white GS LC

It's not that the paint is any softer you can just see micro scratches much more easily on black paint as it's more reflective, the same scratches will be there on your white paint you just cant seem them so easily.
