Any upgrades between the 2 years (other than colour schemes) that would make you go new?

Not really, but safety wise there's lean sensitive ABS and an adaptive (flashing) rear brake light on the '16. Pretty sure my mirrors are better on the '16 too.

If you tour a lot in Europe, the longer warranty/roadside assistence swayed it for me. There are some fantastic used bikes out there ( such as crotchrocket's old GS?) ... but I didn't want to have expiring warranty/lack of bmw (get you home hand-holding) assist.

But you can buy an extended 12 month warranty for £385 with Zero excess ....... so how much did it cost you to change?
