2017 GSA engine bars are different to previous years

Nice one Nutty! i thought someone said there was no stock?
Did you go the whole hog or just the levers?

I called Calsport yesterday, and they said no stock for 3 weeks, so I ordered them (thinking I'd pay for them when the stock arrives) only to get an email this morning to say they've been shipped. And I ordered the footpegs from my dealer, which I'll collect tomorrow when I get the first service done.

I've done the pegs before, but how easy are the levers to fit?

My first service too tomo nutty, can't believe you cracked with the rusty looking pegs n levers !!!!!!

Very easy to do.
When you remove the original gear lever, don't try to undo the large torx head (T55 plus I think) on the pivot point/bush. Feel behind it and there is a smaller one that you undo.

When fitting the Gilles gear lever make sure it clears the side stand when selecting first gear. Push the gear lever down as far as it will go when doing this. Adjust the link arm if needed.

Getting the return spring for the brake pedal back on can be fiddly. It's much easier to undo the two bolts holding the heel plate/rear master cylinder to the frame. Gives you more room.

Took mine out today for a road test. All nice and smooth through the gears :) . Despite initial tests there is still a clunk when going into first for me, but that's it.

Just before you remove the original gear lever, give it a wiggle and see how much slop there is. Then try it again with the Gilles lever. :)

I'll try and make sure I do this before indulging in my usual Friday night libation, as things have been known to go wrong in the past!:P
 
All fitted, and just got back from a test ride round the block. Very nice.:beerjug:
