My 2018 1200gsa recently developed what I think is an electronic glitch
The engine went into limp mode would not rev and could not ride, like it was running on one cylinder but just on idle.
I started and stopped a few times and after changing engine modes it fixed itself
Anyone having similar issues?. Thanks

It happened to me once 08/17, the weather was hot. I started the bike after a coffee break and it ran at 2000rpm and did not respond to the throttle, stopped it then started again with no issues and none since.

Last year in the Harz Mts , hot day was slowing to come into a town and bike dropped into limp home mode, no power wouldn't rev or pull. Stopped the bike and restarted it and it was fine.

No faults recorded either on my GS911 or the dealer computer a few months later

It needs an update same thing happened to me 2k rpm and no response from the throttle. 2018 gsa rallye

67 plate triple black, coming up for its 18 thou service back in sept 19. Did this to me a few times, stop the bike wait for up to 5 mins restart and off I’d go no worries on a few occasions I got the message of fault in engine control ride to nearest etc

Mentioned all this on the day of service drop off, picked up the bike which had, had 2x new headers, a new exhaust flappy thingy and ECU update, all done, since bike has been running a dream, although warranty runs out end of July

Yesterday I have front wheel sensor go away from Nav6, I stop bike think maybe getting flat tyre, nothing wrong, start bike all is good, no idea what happens.

Well it's gone and done it again driving out of a roundabout
Not good at all 😬

Just had my 68 plate 1200 gsa in for a 6000 mile service,
they did a software down load which took forever, the lady remarked that without this the engine warning light may come on,
could this be part of the problem you are encountering,

Well if I didn’t go and Jinx myself, turned on bikes ignition this morning post my night shift getting ready to Home, message flashed up “fault in engine control” turn bike off go have a coffee come back bike starts fine no probs/no messages Get halfway home message comes up, bike into limp mode no revs past 3000, engine feels like it’s pulsating/firing on one cylinder. That’s 3hrs into my beauty sleep I’ve been stood at the side or the M23 southbound waiting for my recovery to Chandlers
