Following back surgery, I've reluctantly put up my RT for sale as I want to move to a more middleweight bike now (sensible head on). Not sure if I'm doing the right thing, as it's been a fantastic bike and exceeded expectations in every area.

Bike is a 2019 1250RT Le spec, so all the bells and whistles including dynamic ESA, satnav ready, heated seats, electric screen, heated grips, cruise, etc. It comes with the optional £1100 colour matched top box as well as the panniers, is alarmed, fitted with Wunderlich crash bars (unmarked as the bke's never been dropped), good tyres and wants for nothing. Also fitted with a headlight protector. Runs perfectly and it's a taut, punchy engine which is a lot quieter (less rattles) than my older 1200. Low miles at just 13,900 but this may go up as I'll continue to use it daily until sold. Still has a year's 3rd party warranty on it.

Rides and handles like new.

£10K firm buys it. Glos area

I think you're doing the right thing.

Following my back injury (compression fracture, T12) I sold my GS as it was too big and heavy to manage. I ride my 790 Duke now and that's fine but I'm looking to buy a middleweight adventure style bike, or maybe a big scooter as the Duke is not really for distance riding. I need a more upright riding position.

I thought my GS was a keeper. It was everything I wanted and more than i needed but it became too much. I have no regrets about selling it.

I wish you well with your back, hope the bike sells quickly and that you enjoy its replacement.

Thank you....yes, it's the sensible decision. Have a test ride next week on a possible replacement, some 120lbs lighter!

What you looking at next week?

Ducati 950s super sport....more upright and beg than sports riding position. Panigale styling.

My mate also added risers, perfect fit for him at 5'6. Loves it.

I'm looking forward to ownership but one fly in the ointment is the lack of luggage for the gen 2 other than the £1100 factory options (plus fitting kit!). Shad only do them for gen 1 models. I've started a thread in the ducati section for ideas to save this sales thread going south:)

Last call before part-X happens. Superb machine in excellent condition.

Now gone in part x.

For anyone looking, bear in mind trade prices have risen considerably in the past two months for the 1250 as folks seem to value these 1250's rather than trade up to the 1300.
